Just to say thank you for a lovely day at Thornhill for the Open Tournament on Sunday May 27. The course was in excellent condition, while the hospitality at the clubhouse was spot-on.

Welcome to Thornhill Golf Club
From humble beginnings in April 1893 Thornhill Golf Club was born. In 1979 the course was extended to 18 holes and in 1996 the Clubhouse was enlarged.
The 18-hole course is a mixture of park and heathland with magnificent panoramic views which are equal to any in Scotland. It has been often described as a "hidden jewel".
At 6085 yards, that's easy on the high handicapper with a par of 71 and a SS of 70, the course offers a real challenge to the scratch man. More than that, it's worth walking for the scenery alone.
The Club has a fine record in amateur competition, boasting honours in national team and single events. Several members have gone on to enjoy successful professional careers.
